About Best Behavior

Best Behavior was established in 2001 with a passion for creativity and designing clothes.

Situated in the heart of Nørrebro, Copenhagen, Best Behavior is comfortable, mindful and colourful clothes in a sustainable universe.

The brand creates capes, cardigans, baggy pants, accessories and pillows that are created from fun and interesting fabrics. All pieces are created on a core value to produce and create from a sustainable mindset.

This mindset has taken Best Behavior on a meaningful journey to be better towards the world - a journey they are still on.

Brand Ethos

Recycling, zero waste and good working conditions are all core values at Best Behavior. We love how Best Behavior seek to ensure social as well as environmental sustainability and are always mindful of the choices they make.

Brand sustainability

Best Behavior creates colorful and personal pieces that are unique and interesting. They are sustainable to the core with values that focus on being mindful in everything they do – from environmentally sustainable production to long-lasting personal relationships with their clothes.

The clothes are designed to have a long life with quality fabric made from organic cotton that is Oeko-tex certified.

The fabrics used for Best Behavior pieces are leftovers that have been handpicked in India and are recycled from second-hand Indian silk saris.

The brand strives to be zero waste and seeks to let no fabric go to waste, by creating purses, key hangers or scrunchies out of leftover cuttings.

Suppliers are carefully chosen based on their pledge and care for the environment and for their employees. This way they ensure that people are treated with respect and gratitude while being completely transparent about who makes Best Behavior pieces.

In addition, the brand also donates money every month to Indian girls to help them get a proper education.

The Comarché Notes

Best Behavior add a whole new dimension to traditional “zero waste” policies. Not only are all products made from left-over fabrics and recycled saris, Best Behavior also create small items such as bags, key chains and scrunchies out of their own leftover cuttings! We’re excited to continue to follow Best Behavior on their sustainable journey.

Product Lifecycle

Design

The Design Phase is a crucial part of determining a product’s sustainable capabilities. We’ve chosen to highlight a few genius steps that enable a sustainable product right from the beginning.

    Material & Material Extraction

The materials used for a certain product and how these materials come to life are of crucial importance to the sustainable capabilities we seek in products.

      Transportation of Materials

This step relates to the transportation of the raw materials from when they are first obtained (harvested etc.) to the production site. Obviously, the closer to the production site, the better.

        Production

Obviously, the production of a certain product has an impact on the overall level of sustainability. Luckily, many manufacturers have now taken steps towards more sustainable production methods.

          Packaging

How a brand chooses to package its products will have a significant influence of the carbon impact from packaging and transportation.

            Distribution

This step relates to the distribution of products when they have been produced. Obviously, the closer to the brand’s warehouse, the better.

              Usage

How you choose to use and take care of a product has a bigger impact than you think. Just think about how much longer a shirt lasts if it has been washed in the right way.

                End of life

At this step, there is no way out and we have to find some way of discarding our product. How we discard a product will significantly influence the opportunity of reusing materials used.
